NO MAN'S LAND
Subchapter 1: I AM AMERICA.

NOVEMBER 4, 2010
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

METROPOLIS, NEW YORK

Several men and women are in a building watching a television, as others scramble in the background. Something Babbles on the TV, and several of the men shake their heads.

"so that's it." a Black haired man leans back on his chair.
"dammit, only a hundred and two."
"You did well, sweetie." one of the women, a brunette pats a fair haired man on the shoulder.
"they got twice as much as us."
"well, what do you expect?"

The Faired haired man gets up.
"guess I need to do a concession speech."

COAST CITY, CALIFORNIA
"So that's it."

An older white man, frowns.

"I don't like it Dwayne."
"you don't have to, Wade."

The other man, a Black man, gets up.
"well, this looks like the end of our hold."
"he did a good job. Swayed both Democrats and Republicans."
"We need this sort of man, Wade. He'll do well."
"Mr. Camacho? They want your concession speech." an aid tells the Black man.
"I will, I will."

RIVENDALE, NEW YORK.

The Building is over whelmed with Excitement as people cheer and celebrate. On the Roof of the Building a Blonde haired man in his late 30s, Dressed in a Suit with a Bomber Jacket over it. He pushes his Glasses up and smiles. An Older Man, also wearing Glasses appears on the Roof top.

"Al? they want a Speech."
"I'll be there Steve. What about the others?"
"Felingarcon and Camacho are doing theirs now."
"Let them Finish. Then I'll do it."
"Alright."

The Other man goes back inside. The Blonde man, Albert, smiles.

"King of the world. Heh."

"Al. they're ready for you."
"Alright then."

SLIGHTLY LATTER.

The two men, followed by two women, and a child, exit an Elevator and walk out, to a Massive Cheering crowd. The Blonde, Alfred, goes up to a Podium, a banner with "Jones/Colbert" on it. He raises his hand for the crowd to start.

"thank you all for being here tonight, I'm sure you'd rather be at home sleeping, I know I would."

The Crowd laughs and he Raises a Hand for them to quite Down.

"If there is still anyone Out there who still doubt America is a Place where Anything is Possible, Who wonder if the dreams of our founders are still alive, who still Question the Power of our Democracy, THIS is your answer!
You have all spoken! This is all because of you, Young and old, Rich and Poor, Hispanic, Black, White, Asian, Sasquatican and Indian. You sent a Message, that This is not a Nation of Red States, Blue States, It is the United States of America!

This day has been long coming, and Change has arrived in America!"

The crowd begins to cheer, and the Man pauses letting them calm down.

"I have Received very Gracious calls from Vice President Camacho, and Senator Felingarcon, Congratulating us for our victory. Both of them have fought long and hard in this campaign. I look Forward to working with both of them to renew this nation's Promise in the months to come.

I would also like to thank My Partner, a Man who assisted me the whole way, Spoke for the Men and Women of his home state of South Carolina, Stephen Colbert, Vice President Elect.

I would not be here, if it was not for my Best Friend, the Rock of my Family, and The Love of my life, My Wife Shannon Jones. Little Maria's looking forward to Moving into the White House, and getting that New Puppy I promised.

I would also like to thank My Campaign manager, Joe Biden, my Chief Strategist, Bill Richardson, and all of my Other helpers. With out your help, none of this would be possible.

But most of all, I want to thank you. THIS IS YOUR NIGHT!

I was never the most likely Candidate. Before me we only had one other President from my party, your Party; the forty-first President of the United States, and Mentor, Richard Rickard. However, You have spoken. From the Beaches of Hawaii to the Backyards in West Virginia. From the Living rooms of Havana to the Coffee shops of Seattle.

The Road ahead is going to be Difficult, I won't lie to you. With the Warmongering from Imperial Russia, we will stand by our Allies in East; Germany, France, Poland, Lithuania, and Italy. We will not stand for this!

Change will come to America, it will not takes one year, or even one term. But I cannot do it alone. This is where you come in, America.

Times will be tough, but there is one thing to remember.
No matter how hard it is, no matter what difficulties we run into, there are three words to remember.

YES.
WE.
CAN.

God bless you, and God Bless America.
Thank you."

The President Elect, Alfred F. Jones, Salutes to the Crowd and turns to leave as the Crowd Erupts into Cheers and Chants of "Yes we can
I'd vote for them.

America and Colbert together?

That's a surprise indeed.
